Healthy Acres is an ayurvedic Hospital
with the facilities of a resort. It aims
to develop itself as the best institute
offering ancient methods of treatment
for all, or most of the diseases. It is
situated amongst lush green and beautiful
hills of Kerala, which gives a feeling

Treatments Offered
The hospital offers treatments
for ailments and rejuvenation therapies.
Commonly treated diseases include rheumatism,
arthritis of different kinds, Hemiplegia,
Facial palsy, Anxiety, Allergic asthma,
Peptic ulcer, Motor neuron diseases, Psoriasis
and other skin diseases. There are treatments
for other ailments also like back pain
of different causes, disc prolpse, hypertension,
eye diseases, headaches, migraine, chronic
cough, diabetes and mellitus. Also, there
are treatments for gynecological problems,
obesity, infertility, piles, disorders
of digestion and all other ailments that
are as a result of improper diet or polluted
atmosphere.
The
center also offers rejuvenation therapy
for healthy people wanting to refresh
themselves from the frictions of daily
living.
The treatment for rejuvenation
therapy is offered in packages for varying
time periods - 3, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days.
A decision of the treatment is taken based
upon the general constitution of the patient
and the condition of the disease. A general
idea of the disease and its treatment
is also given to the patient.
Treatment is through a
combination of different therapies. General
treatments include Uzhichil (massage with
various herbal oils), Pizhichil (gentle
body massage), Elakizhi (body massage
with cloth bags containing fried medicinal
leaves) and Navarakizhi (massage with
linen bags containing cooked navara rice
soaked continuously in a mixture of milk
and decoction). There are also other treatments
like Sirodhara (oil/decoction/milk is
continuously poured on the forehead using
special devises), Thalapothichil (patient’s
head is packed with Amla pulp), Sirovasthi
(a feather cap containing oils are kept
on the head) and Snehapanam (involves
internal administration of medicated ghee
in increasing doses for a certain period).
Eye diseases of all kinds are successfully
treated by Ayurvedic methods like Anjamam,
Tharpanam, Nethradhara etc
